Midland counties shop window held at Tividale F.C, Sunday 7th October 2008

Stepping out of the shadow of vocalist Darren Dawson and glowing in the limelight as she truly deserves to do, our first artiste of the day was female vocalist Sam Jones. Sam - one half of a rather illustrious duo - is trying ventures new and, from what i saw today, she thoroughly deserves to succeed. It would, maybe, be stretching a point to say she was stupendous, but she certainly is a performer who stands out from the crowd. That, and the fact that she is such a pleasant young lady, makes Sam a very 'bookable' artiste. Well Done Sam. I thought you were excellent.

Cradley Heath Liberal Club, Sunday 28th October

Sam Jones. Tonight was the solo debut for Sam at our club, with the other half of the duo (Darren Dawson & Sam Jones) acting as sound man for the night. The first time i saw Sam with Darren, a couple of years ago, I asked her then if she would do a solo performance. A few weeks ago, when the Duo were here, she reminded me of what i'd asked her back then, and said that she was ready to do so. I was delighted. Sam was a little nervous to start with but, once she got into the swing of things, it soon picked up and became a 'cracking' night. Many of our members were asking if we could get her back again for a Saturday night. This, I have already done. Thanks for a great night Sam.
